Yesterday evening I indulged in cinema, watching “The American” and “True Grit”. The cinematography in American was incredible, countless picturesque shots of Italy. The scenese where Clooney was working with/adjusting guns were artistic as well, showing a deep reverance for the craft of gunmaking. Besides that, the love story and double-crossing were kinda boring, and lose points for entirely unnecessary graphic scenes starring the ageing George. Less is more Mr. Clooney.

Watched some of the Bulls game as they curiously sat Carlos Boozer down the stretch against the Nets then went with a friend to go see “True Grit“. My two favorite themes of the movie were trading (everything was tradeable from ponies to dead bodies and anyone with anything was a trader) and trust (no certainty, when being ambushed its tough to tell how many people are with the guy against you if you can’t see). Main thing about the movie though is Mattie is straight OG
